Default Overdrive solenoid wire in instrument panel

I'm wrapping up the wiring on the fold down instrument panel and I have one wire unconnected and I don't understand why it is there. It is yellow with purple tracer and has a ring connector as if it is supposed to connect to the headlight switch. It exits the loom at the same place as the headlights, side lights, etc.
I have several wiring diagrams and they all say this color combo should be for the overdrive solenoid. I confirmed that it is connected to the yellow/purple wire that is where the overdrive switch will be. Why is this wire in the instrument panel? None of the wiring diagrams show this connecting to anything on the panel.
This is more out of curiosity since I don't need the overdrive solenoid wires.
Thanks for any input.
Craig

On my schematics the YP comes from Overdrive Circuit to light switch (in to 2 and out on 4) and then to the OD Warning Light. Straight through switch when lights off and through resistor for dimming warning light when lights turned on

This is making sense now. The overdrive warning light dims when the lights are on. Thank you for the picture!
