Default Picture of tray bullet catch receiver?

I'm looking for a detail picture of the receiver for the bullet catches that are used on the seat back trays in earlier Mk2 cars. This is the metal piece along the top edge of the opening in the seat back that the bullet catch engages. Mine are gone and I want to fabricate new ones.

Thanks

Would someone be so kind as to take a picture or two of the recievers on their car and post it in a reply so I can see what it's supposed to look like?

Thanks.

No one in this community can take a few minutes to photograph what these look like?

Even one picture would be appreciated.

I would, but my 340 has no picnic tables.
Shouldn't you be able to tell what the size is and how thick it should be by the slot the striker plate is screwed into ?

I don't know what it looks like, but isn't there a resest area to determine what size the striker plate should be ?

My Bentley is like that anyway _ I can take a picture of that if you like.

That's the challenge. The seats have been reupholstered and there is no obvious evidence of where the striker plates should go. I suspect they are L shaped and attach to the vertical plywood backer behind the trim panels lining the tray recesses.

Thanks for the input.

OK, that makes sense now and why you need to see the striker plate.
The Bentley is totally different, there is a wood frame that the tray fits into _ that wood frame is mounted directly into the back of the seat _ no upholstery involved at all.

At any rate that is strange that no one can be bothered to take at least one photo.
There are lots of people hare with MK 2's with picnic tables.

Sorry, I haven't been connected for quite some time.. I promise to take a picture tomorrow morning and post it. My seats have been reupholstered, so that should give you a pretty good idea.
Best,
JP

That would be great. I need enough detail to be able to figure out what's required to fabricate new ones.

My, what a cool little detail that's so important to get right! I assume the picnic trays themselves have ball detents inserted? Nice.

Perfect! That's exactly what I needed. They are more sophisticated than I imagined.

Much appreciated

I don't suppose anyone has 4 of these laying around that they'd be willing to sell?

There used to be a fellow in Maine named Garrett, I believe, who had many cars he was parting out. Maybe some Google work could turn him up?

Sad to think how many of the little precious bits like this that have just sunk into the mud over the years...
