Default Speedo revolutions per mile

My 65 Mk2 with the Chevy engine and trans needs the speedo calibrated. A question asked when using the online calculators is "how many revolutions per mile?"

There are choices like 940, 960, 1000 and another also.

Supposedly this number is on the back of the speedo.

Anyone here have the answer so I don't have to remove the speedo?

It should be 1100, this number is on the face of the speedo, just below the trip counter on the right under the 0.x wheel.

Thanks. I was under the impression it was on the BACK. You're the first source with that handy tidbit of info.
