Default Steering Column Wobble

My steering column is loose at the top. I haven't pulled the wheel off yet but expect the bushing to be bad. What all is in there to cause this?

Firstly is the Knurled adjusting "nut" tight for adjusting the length of the column (how far in or out the steering wheel is?)

If so it's these two that require replacement. Old ones were felt ~ don't go there. Grease properly. Ideally with a grease made for plastics. Made by Dupont ~ Molykote™ PG 54 Plastislip Grease. There is also a steering "thrust washer" that I would replace while about it. See in attached thread.
