1999 XJ8 VDP In Rancho Cucamonga
I now have a 1999 XJ8 VDP with 68k on the running gear and a rebuilt engine with just 2k. The previous owner ran the car with the "low coolant" lighted until engine failed, the reason for the new engine. The temp gauge did not indicate an over heating condition, so on he drove.
I am pretty happy with the car, headliner fell down and needed replacement, the sun roof leaves the short section with the rain gutter in the roof if opened, so its not. The leather covering on the steering wheel is worn and could be replaced, if I could find a replacement kit. I only drive the car locally and very few miles, work at home office.
I now have a "Stability Control and Traction Control Failure" the "ABS" lamp is also illuminated. There does not appear to be a "real" failure. I purchased a generic OBD-II scanner, P1000 is only error I get. I have been told that the Generic ODB-II scanner will not read Jaguar proprietary codes. I also have been told that I may not have completed the "driving cycle" and this may be a problem. I have cleaned all four of the wheel sensors, and checked resistance of each, they look good. I have checked the battery voltage, disconnected it thinking it may reset the error, no change.
I would like to solve this problem with any help I can get from this forum will be much appreciated.

welcome eshae, translator has pointed you in the right direction, I believe one of the few diagnostic paths we've covered will most likely solve your problem, hopefully w/o putting too much money into parts or rebuilds. Wish you luck and hope you'll stick around after the error messages are resolved. Now, go forth and make inquiries!
