Hello to all-
Recently, I purchased a 2000 XJ8 with 131,000 miles, but in excellent physical & overall mechanical condition - one owner and largely dealer maintained. The biggest issue I have is a transmission that "bumps" into reverse and drive if RPMS are above approx 1.0. I had it checked out - local Brit/American shop wanted 6K to install a rebuilt trans/AAMCO assessed it at about 4K to rebuild in their shop. Other than that, it feels and drives like a classic. Love it! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers!
