2003 jaguar s type

Hi,
We just purchased a beautiful low mileage jag s type. So far, I am totally satisfied, but it does have the annoying steering screech that I have heard others talk about. Any success stories out there? When I called the jag dealership, they recommended replacing the steering fluid first. I would love to get this fixed as simply and inexpensively as possible. Your response is appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! We have a low mileage 2000 which we purchased about a year ago. Haven't noticed any strange steering sounds. Perhaps others will be able to give you some guidance there. happy motoring.

Does it make the screech while at full turn lock or anytimeyou steer?..It maybe like low fluid or slipping Serpentine belt due to a weak tension pulley..Only a guess as I'm not familiar with the S type..

I have a Jaguar S-Type 2003. I bought it last year in November with 30k miles on it.After one week I heard the steering making a noise but you could barely hear it.The fluid level was ok,no leaks. I took it back,30 days of free warranty plus extended warranty on 75kmiles or 5 years;they kept my car for more than a week and they basically changed the front end struts,shocks,pinion rack...all in all was a little bit over 2000$! but I didn't pay a dime and they gave me a rental.
I can't complain about my Jag. Maybe because it's my Sunday car and I'm not driving it too much...and also I'm a trucker
