Question 2003 S-Type R / New Member

Hello,

This is my very first posting to this site. I am the proud owner of a black 2003 S-type R, all stock components, black exterior and cream interior.

Areas I need help with:

1. Headlamps - I need new ones. The lenses are completely fogged (inside) and pointing downward (common, well-documented issue I realize). Is there any option to by headlamps without going through dealer?
2. Floor Mats - Were Jaguar S-type R floor mats different from standard S-type? Where can I purchase a new set other than the dealer?

I'd love to connect with other S-type R owners and share information.

Thank you,

James

Welcome tarheeljag, nice car you have there, get yourself up to 10 posts and then you can share some pictures with us!

There are alot of S Type R owners in the S Type Section here that are very knowledgable and would love to talk with you.

here is a link for headlamp repair and towards the end of the link look for a member named brutal who can sell you new headlights if needed.

Thanks. I'm trying to figure out how to contact Brutal. I need to get up to speed, pun intended, on the mechanics of using this forum.

Welcome aboard. You will be able to PM Brutal after you fulfill your new member criteria, 10 posts and 3 days. Brutal is pretty regular around here, so he may find this post soon enough.

Default 2003 str

Rob,

Please tell me about your STR.

Are the STR floor mats different from the standard S-type mats? My mats are so worn I can't tell. Is the dealer the only place to get these genuine STR mats?

Thank you,
