Default 2003 str coasting

I have a 2003 STR and for the last two weeks it has been idling a little higher than normal. It usually stays around 500rpm, but when i start it of late it is usually around 730-780rpm and goes down to about 650-700rpm. I have noticed that the car has been coasting or pushing and when I come to a complete stop it seems to keep pushing.I feel i have to add more brake pressure to compensate. Its funny like when I come to a complete stop you feel like you dont have to accelerate much because it seems to want to coast..Hopefully its not the torque convertor ive heard about, the car has about 84,000 miles on it, would appreciate feedback
