2004 Jaguar x type with a 3.0
Hi there. My name is Charlie and I live in Eastern Washington State in the U.S.A. I recently purchased a 2004 x type and I absolutely fell in love with the thing. It is the smoothest driving most comfortable car that I have ever owned. The only problem is that I was only able to drive the car fr about 2 months and it has been broken down for going on 4 months. It is my only vehicle so I have been stranded at home depending on others for rides which is not acceptable. I have tried unsuccessfully to fix the car and am at a loss as to what to try next. I have been lurking around reading posts and trying different solutions to similar issues but made the decision today to actually join and see if there is any vehicle specific help to be found so here I am. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this forum.
Welcome to the forums Charlie,
Good to have you with us.
Sorry to hear about your troubles with the X-Type. You can either post questions in relevant existing threads on the same issues(s) or start a new thread in X-Type forum detailing the issues and what you have tried so far. For accurate advice you should add the engine type details. A new thread is likely to get the best response.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northwest-64/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Charlie,
Congratulations on your new X-type Jaguar! I'm sorry it's giving you trouble so soon.
I'm sure members of our X-type section where GGG has directed you will be able to help. Between them there is not a single problem with these cars they haven't encountered and successfully fixed.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
