Welcome, dak! I believe your car uses the ZF 6hp26 transmission. A relatively common problem is a leak around the seal where the wires go into the transmission. It's definitely a DIY job, but you'll get a little dirty. Scroll down to the XJ8 forum and those people will be able to help you out.

New Arnott compressor arrived
I got the new compressor yesterday, Ill have time to install tomorrow. Thanx Rev and others for the info about the the transmission leak. Sealing Sleeve Part No. 0501 216 272 01 is what Ive come up with so far, will investigate more tomorrow with car up.
I hope Ive diagnosed the air suspension properly, if not, the replacement Arnott front air shock write-up is well written and visualized.
I dont mind paying the $, if I can do the work myself, which would be inpossable without a source guide like this forum. I love my car/sled, with my back fused I cant ride the Harley anymore. Cheers....Dak888
