The date card has not been punched. Sticker says made in Spain. 2004 XK8.

Could very well be or not. It does appear to be an OEM battery.

I got 18 years out of a glass mat original Mazda Miata battery. The only reason to change it was that the car is seldom driven and it was getting a little iffy on starting after sitting several weeks.

When I bought my XK8 in 04 it had a new battery, and it's still working fine. It often sits for extended periods of several weeks and starts right up.
(There I go tempting the Gods again)

See if there is a manufacture date on the battery somewhere, will not be as useful as the install date, but should give you an answer.
