I have two questions about battery replacement on my 2007 XK:

1) Does it have the battery monitoring system and thus needs to go to a dealer to have same reset?

2) Can I avoid resetting ECM, windows, radio, seats, etc. by attaching another battery (or charger) in parallel temporarily while I change the main battery, thus insuring no disruption in voltage to the car's electronics.

 

I just replaced my battery with an AGM battery from Batteries Plus. The only resetting I needed to due was for the top. I did that by holding each window switch in the up position and then in the down position. Pretty simple. Nothing else changed.
