Default 2006 Victory Ltd Edition Carbon Fiber

Hi. Though I haven't been very active, I have been a member here for several years- first as owner of '97 XK8 convertible, then with 2001 XK8 convertible. I have just scored one of these rare Victory models with 39K miles. I have seen some discussion here regarding these, so I know a few of you are interested in my acquisition. Like my 2001 (a silver beauty now for sale with 79K miles at $8800), this one has random warning lights that go on and off for no apparent reason. Can anyone enlighten me on this, please? Richard

Welcome.

Most random lights on these later cars is 90% battery integrity related.

New batteries seem to sort all sorts of strange things.

A late "Welcome to the forum" Richard,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

As has been suggested by Grant, eliminate a failing battery as the probable cause of the random warning lights before digging deeper into other more complex possibilities.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-southwest-37/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
