Default 2017 XE digital display issues

a few weeks ago my digital display started flickering intermittently. I happens sometimes but now it is happening more often. Sometimes it resets and the Jaguar logo come on and it restarts. This morning I went in the car and the date and time reset and when I stopped to get gas it would not start. I got a message SOS non available, I called AAA to get it towed and we could not get it to start but after about an hour, it started right up. I am going to take to a dealer but don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get it fixed. Can anybody tell me what could be the issue?

Hello,
I'm sorry your kitty is having a hair'ball fit.
Members in our XE section will be able to advise you how to fix that.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

welcome to the forum - sounds similar to what mine did a few years back and the serpentine belt had come loose, ended up popping off while driving in to work. Biggest pain was figuring out how to put the car in neutral to tow, since the gear selector was stowed. Took an hour on the phone with the dealer to figure out where the lever was. Depending on model of XE, it is either in the center console under the bottom plate or in my case remove the engine cover and on the drivers side you will see a small lever - lift up and it will disengage so the car can be easily towed. enjoy!!
