Default 2xlooser? it's a long story!

I'm new to this forum, and adverity brought me here. 2xlooser is my jaguar ownership history.
My first was a 89 xjs v12. I owned it for 3 years and drove it for 1.lol.
Knowone could find the engine knock or tell me how to fix it! I even had a tech do an internal video inspection,NUTHIN!
Then I noticed a slight wobble in the harmonic balancer. Sooo, I removed it and,NO S**t, the crank key was sheared.
The shaft was gouged too. New crank-$1200, Used motor, $1800, Being a TIG Welder,PRICELESS!
After I fixed the balancer problem the car ran like new.
The last thing to fix was a small crack in the windshield.
I had that done and then parked it for the winter. When I opend it up in the spring, there was a half inch of mold throughout
the interior and the entire dash was soak! The guy that installed the windsheild didnt do it right. insurance totaled on me.
Now I've purchased an 04 x-type for my wife, here we go again!
Loud growling sound from the front drive system, I have a bad felling about this![sm=wtf.gif]
Well thats my story so far, thanks for letting me vent.[sm=rant.gif]

Jaguar has come a very long way since the XJS, after 2003 they started building them a lot better and more reliable.. Once you get your X's front suspension fixed it should be very non-problematic.. but good luck and sorry to hear about your bad luck in the past. Welcome, Eric

Welcome along. As for the growling is it wheel bearing noise or transmission noise - I'd check the transfer box for leaks and maybe change the fluid anyways.
