Default 76 XJ6- First Jaguar

I picked up a 76 XJ6 last week. The previous owner was extremely meticulous with service, repairs etc.

The motor seems strong but after she's warmed up accelerating from 1st to 2nd there is some considerable juddering (vibration) it sounds like it's coming from the drive line, bit I'm not sure. If I take it really easy on the gas and I mean really easy, it's not very noticeable. But if I stomp on the gas it's unmistakeable, when the tranny is shifting from 1st to 2nd and a little from 2nd to 3rd.

I'm worried it's the BW Tranny. Hoping it's just a bearing.

Cheers,

Welcome aboard. Nice looking Jag

Have you taken a good look at the transmission mounts? That's where I'd begin, FWIW.

Cheers
