Smile Allow me to introduce myself...

Hello all! I am new to this forum, but not to cars and not to Jaguar, having just purchased my second one. The first was a 2004 X-Type 3.0 which my wife and I bought in 2005 and drove for several years. We just recently purchased another Jaguar, a 2011 XJL Supercharged with 45000 miles. It holds the dubious distinction of also being the 60th vehicle I have owned in my lifetime. It replaces a much loved, but long in the tooth, 1997 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, which we traded in on it. It is sharing stable space with a 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Edition 4x4, a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible, and a 1972 Ford Pinto Squire wagon. I know; that's an unusual assortment of vehicles, but my tastes and interests are ever changing and I do really like cars. I am 58 years old and have been married to the love of my life for just over 24 years. We have one son, 22, who is married. He and our daughter-in-law live with us and help me care for my wife who suffered a massive and debilitating stroke nearly nine years ago. The original Jaguar was primarily her car and when she was told she could no longer drive, she insisted I sell it. We live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, near Waynesboro. I work in the Plant Operations/Engineering Dept. of the local hospital, which is ranked as one of the 50 top hospitals in the U.S.. I have been employed there for just over 35 years. Additionally, I enjoy music. I have been the organist at my church for 14 years and also play guitar with a bluegrass gospel group. With the closest Jaguar dealer being about 80 miles away, Jaguars are not a particularly common sight in my local area. Most that I see are older, although a few XF's have popped up in the past year or two. I have not seen a XJ or XJL other than my own. I know this is long and probably shares way too much information but I tend to be a fairly gregarious guy. I'm tickled to death with my Jaguar and look forward to connecting with other happy owners. Oh, by the way, my car is Lunar Grey with Jet interior. Have already had quite a few compliments on it.
