Default Another newbie...

Hi to everybody,
I'm an accidental jaguar owner, after an ill-considered movement at an auction!
However, I'm more than pleased with my purchase, and subscribe fully to the theory of "what is meant to be..." The car, a 116000 mile XJ40 is a one-owner car with full service record.
It has not been immune to the tin-worm, however, and needs one new rear wheel-arch, and a new boot floor. The latter I have already purchased from Classic Jaguar for the princely sum of £40!
The next bit may be a bit more tricky, as I now have to teach myself to use a MIG welder - something I've always wanted to do, but never had the excuse.

I shall now be avidly perusing this forum for information and tips, and will no doubt be posting many questions.....

Regards to all,
