Austin Tx E-Type
Hello everyone! Glad to have found a Jaguar forum. Ive recently pulled my E-Type out of storage and have found quite a few things I need to fix/have fixed and figured I would be able to find some input here.
Shes a 1969 series 2 4.2l coupe. Apparently its a one of a kind as the off white color with the tan interior wasnt a factory option or something along those lines. My dad bought it back when he was 19 so i believe in '73 and kept it all these years. we had a complete frame off restoration done in ~97 and took it to the concourse shows. first year we won 2nd in nation in our class (lost by 1/1000 of a point) then came back and won 1st in nation in our class. Havent shown it since and for the past ~2 years its sat in a storage unit neglected
current problems is that it seems to have a leak from the cooling pump, a fuel leak out of one of the carbs, missing the chrome piece above the driver side door, a nasty scratch in the back and a nice little dent on the hood.
oh also an exhaust leak due to some bad welds. ill post some pics once I switch over to a different computer.
thanks for taking the time to look and hope to learn alot here
