Hi All, I'm new to this forum and hoping someone can assist me with a worrying problem.I have owned my B reg XJS V12 cabriolet for about three years and have twice driven across Europe to Austria and back.Apart from the usual typical fuses blowing and a severed fan belt,i've had no major problems until about four months ago.I put the car into reverse and it suddenly developed a judder.This became more pronounced as the day wore on and once i'd returned home it would'nt engage reverse unless i increased the revs quite a bit, and once it did engage,it did it very violently like it was snatching sharply.Thinking that this sounds expensive,i garaged the car and have not used it since.It will drive forwards fairly happily but feels tight and not really right at all.Any suggestions as to the cause and is it something i could fix to avoid the high repair costs?
