Back Again...
Hi all,
Well, my foray into Merc ownership didn't last long, 8 months to be precise. I was last here a few years back when I purchased my last XJR (1997 V8) from a friend. That lasted three years until the dreaded rust got the better of it. I have previously owned a 5.3ltr. Series 11 1978 XJ12, an XJ 4.0 Sport straight six.
When replacing my last workhorse, a Nissan Navara, I thought I would combine business with pleasure and get the fastest van in the west, an ML63 AMG. I had hoped it would combine the now reduced carrying capacity I needed for work while not boring the s--t out of me when driving for pleasure. It certainly was an impressive piece of kit, but nothing combines a plush ride when cruising and the ability to tighten up when playing silly beggers quite like the Jags. So I flogged the Merc and picked up a nice 2003 Super V8 for a third of what I got for the Merc, so more go faster goodies for the real adrenalin rush, my supercharged 2.3ltr. Triumph Rocket 111.
No pics yet as I haven't finished the clay, polish, wax process yet, but will over the next couple of weeks, but here's one of the bike to be going on with;
