Best reliable V8 model
Welcome to the Forums.
Any and all, depending on previous attention to detail, and known issues. Too may owners dont bother, and when push comes to shove, they sell it, oops.
I suggest a re-ask in the General Tech Section, as this being the New Members Intro Section, not many Tech Members come on here.
Good luck.

Greetings Matey and welcome to JF.
Grant has hit the nail on its head!
In looking for the best of the V8s, the X308's 3.2L is silky smooth.
In the XK8/XKR, prefer later models with the 4.2L and 6spd box.
But, all is meaningless against past history of regular maintenance and your DIY skills.
Bottom line? Get the best maintained vehicle that you can afford.
There are few, if any, bargains because the costs of parts and labour are significant.
That said, a good Jaguar will reward you on every drive.
Cheers and best wishes,
