Better Late than Never
Hey all,
Signed up a while back, but didn't do the official "intro" as I was a little embarrassed by my latest acquisition: My boggo standard 2001 X-Type SE.
Embarrassing because of it's teeny, tiny 16" wheels & huge balloon tyres & comedy ride height.
When I bought it...
& now....
What I've done to it..................
17" Volvo Canopus Monoblocks,
205/45/17 Continental Sport (Run Flats)
Lowered 40mm (On Mondeo Estate Springs, YES you read it hear first, they do fit)
Debadged rear,
Crystal Side Indicators
HID Kit & LED Sides
Full Service, inc. Diff, Transf & Gearbox oils.
Air-Con Recharge
Interior wood fascia & door Trims wrapped in Black/Grey Marble effect vinyl (I would rather have fake veneer that I like, over real veneer I hate)
All Doors fully sound deadend
Reversing Camera in Boot Lock
Twin 8" Subs fitted behind parcel shelf.
Pioneer Double Din - Flush fitted

You have been busy with the upgrades over the last few months!
As you've been here for a while, no need for a link to the X-Type tech section from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

I've always felt Jags look mismatched with 5spoke type wheels, multispokes are ok,
Monoblock flat type wheels look much truer to the cars restrained design.
I love it because it's not a shouty car..... *cough, Audi, Bmw, Lexus, cough*
