Just bought my latest addiction and wanted to say Hi! 1972 XJ6 minus the 6. Actually minus the engine and transmission. Bought for $200 off a Jaguar restorer whose retiring. Aside from the drivetrain its 100% complete. Even my wife thinks its cool. I have a nasty habit of never leaving well enough alone so a 454BBC with 700R4 is in the future. Upgraded brakes and rear Posi with a 'sleeper' attitude is my preference. I CAN'T WAIT! BTW...I'm no stranger to engine swaps, drivetrain swaps, and general mechanical mayhem. Also, Lucas the Prince of Darkness doesn't scare me either. Looking forward to chatting it up with everyone. I promise to keep you informed of my progress. Take care all.

Hello, Jim,
Many of us feel that the Xj6 simply Begs for a more powerful engine; one of our members has even traded the 6 banger for a 454. 700R4 seems to be the transmission of choice also, with its Stump Pulling first gear.

I'll look for you over in our Xj6 playpen where Graham has directed you.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
