Default Checking in from Snohomish, WA

Hi Everyone -

My name is Dave, I live in Snohomish, Wa, about 40 min north of Seattle. I just stumbled into a 2003 STR from a good friend who moved to the east coast. The car has some issues - mostly just needs some normal maintenance and TLC. On the plus side, I’ll have almost ZERO money in it when I get started.

I was surfing the web tonight and stumbled into this forum. I've read through about 4 pages of posts and have been blown away.

Of all the forums on the net, this one might be the best I've seen. The guys who post in the S-Type forum are unbelievably helpful. In so many cases they took the extra time to really help someone.

That's pretty freaking cool! Nice work guys!

I look forward to learning and sharing

thanks - Dave

Hello Dave and welcome to jaguarforums.com. I know that you are anxious to get started and we are anxious to meet you and talk about your car. We have a baseline / criteria that must be met before full access can be granted. Please enjoy the forum and be patient once the baseline has been satisfied full access will be granted. Please continue to post and accept my welcome to the forum.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

thanks everyone!

I've update my signature from my original post to include the millage on the car.

I'm off to get all the basics, Fuel filter, air filter, oil change, possibly spark plugs, etc.

Thanks to surfing on this forum, I've got all the details on what to expect. I'll post in the appropriate section if I get stuck!

thanks again!
Dave
