Default Denso sat nav

Hi, I have an s type 2007, 2.7 diesel auto. My touchscreen stopped working suddenly about a week ago leaving me with just the heater fan permanently on, from what I’ve read it would appear that if I have power up to the module in the boot then it must be a faulty module, I’ve had two from eBay, neither make any difference although I have had a computer engineer look at them and he says although power is reaching the reader it is not actually powering up. I’m left with a dilemma, the eBay seller says they were in working order, so I doubt I’ll see my money again, my local jaguar want £199 to have a look, or do I risk buying another eBay one, or is there anyone who repairs them, any help would be gratefully appreciated thank you

Welcome to the forums Devon1952,

Good to have you with us.

I suspect by £199 to "to have a look" the dealer means run a diagnostic session. Although this could identify some useful error codes to help with troubleshooting, they are unlikely to do anything more unless it's something very simple like a loose harness connector.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
