Default Electric burn smoking for 15 minutes under hood

I purchased a used 1998 XK8 and drove from Hilton Head to Greenville SC with no issues at all. Today I let my son drive it around the neighborhood and when pulled into driveway I noticed smoking under hood and the electric fan wasn’t working. It smoked for 15 minutes and smelled like Ellen. Now car is completely dead and nothing works, no power at all. Any ideas?

Welcome to the Forums.

Since this is not the Tech Discussion Section, I suggest a re-ask in the XK8 (X100) Tech Section, where members will have answers/suggestions.

Good luck.
