Exclusionary Warranty

I recently purchased a 2005 Vander Plas with 12,000 miles. Its Manufacture warranty expires in 1 year. I just had it in for a check up and to get squeaking brakes looked at “brakes still squeaking”. The Dealer is trying to sell me an exclusionary warranty which will cover the vehicle through 75,000 miles. It will cost $4,800 and has a 100 dollar deductible. Any comments on whether to purchase a warranty.
My experience with the X-type, it would have been worth it to purchase. Given that more things can go wrong with the more expensive/complicated XJ, I'd say its DEFINITELY worth it in your case. I'd ask how much to get a warranty up to 100,000 miles, most of the problems with my x-type happened after 80k but your mileage may vary
