Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I've recently picked up a 1998 XJ8 base model that needed a lot of love. It came with a bad transmission so that was my first project. I do my own work - but rebuilding a ZF-HP24 was a new experience for me, It was successful though. I recently replaced the the tired AJ-26 engine with a better used one. The car is a joy to drive when it's working well.
I am still looking for tuning tips and tech advice on various details, most recently how to set idle speed. Anyway, this is just an introduction so I'll leave it at that. :-)

Wow, welcome bobaye, I thought I wasn't too worried about the mechanics of Jags, but to take on and rebuild the transmision is brilliant, well done you may be of great help to me in the future, cheers John
