I am new to the site having just found out about it. We purchased a 2005 X-type 3.0 in sept of 2011. We love the car and all it offers in comfort and performance. The only mechanical issue is a surging or "bucking" on hard throttle from low speeds. Easing into the throttle seems to work ok, and cruising is fine. I have been looking over previous threads for similar problems. It may be the coil missfire some have expirenced. I will post the question in the X-type forum.

I would have thought that a missfire would throw codes.
