First time Jag owner, coming from Cadillac
I just picked up a 2011 XF Premium Luxury edition with the portfolio package. I am still trying to figure out how the Jag works but so far it has been a nice car.
I previously owned a 2008 Cadillac CTS 3.6 DI AWD and there are a few noticeable differences that I like and miss.
Likes:
1. The classy "appearance" of the car and quality of the interior
2. The roar of the engine sounds like a real sports car
3. The tech, I am a tech nut so I like all the gadgetry
4. It seems to be a head turner and I do not see a lot of these on the road where I am. (DC area)
5. Huge trunk (Something that Cadillac has gone away from except the DTS)
6. The cooled seats are much better then they were in the CTS, it's subtle but noticeable.
7. Front Park sensors
8. Back up cam and blind spot warnings
Dislikes:
1. Car does not automatically lock when you walk away like the CTS did
2. No remote start, I really am beginning to miss that feature
3. not as much leg room in the front as the CTS
4. smaller display, I liked the Cadillac display but not the pop up screen
5. No hard drive based nav (I'm just nitpicking)
6. No 3D maps
As you can see most of my gripes are about the cabin tech, the car over all is solid and I enjoy it. Just wished it had a few of the features that other cars in it's class come with.

Welcome,
I believe Cadillac stopped making cars since 1996
(aside from new CTS but it's too small for an average Cadillac customer )
Nice comparison between XF and CTS . Enjoy your ride and your stay
