Hi Ya'll,

Just bought a used 2000 XJR and couldn't be happier. I am so glad to be in the company of so many enthusiastic owners. The previous owner of my new Jag worshipped this car and drove it less than 1,200 miles a year. Despite the immaculate condition I have a few concerns and would love some feedback. First, the front upper shock mounts are fatigued and turning to dust, does anyone know where I can fined just the bushing and if so how to replace? Keep in mind it is very important to me to stay as original as possible and to never compromise the original engineering. Second, I see a small Leak in the valve gasket and I have been quoted 850 by a jaguar specialist to replace it along with 450 to replace the upper shock mounts. They will also check the timing chain tensioner, is this a fair price or should I attempt the work myself? Next, my antenna is kinda loud going up and down, what type of lubricant is recommended? Lastly, when I start the vehicle it has a light squeak until the engine warms up (2 min max). I am concerned about that and some rattling because I caught a pot hole and am concerned I have done damage. What should I look for damage wise after hitting the pothole at 40 mph whole accelerating. I know this is a lot for a first post, but I am in love with this car and intend to worship it for both our lives.

Thanks for the extremely kind welcome everyone! I think I set up my signature correctly now. If not I will get it tweaked and keep adding onto it as I get more accustomed to being a forum member.

Thanks again ya'll for the great welcome. Can ya'll point me to some specific threads about my questions and possibly a thread where members know a lot about the supercharger on my vehicle? How is my signature now everyone? Too much?
