Default Gazzspeed.... Hi from Canada

Hi there, I am questing for a well cared for XK8 as I transition from decades of sports car ownership and ease into my grand touring years. Aka, I am getting older and appreciate a quiet convertible with supportive seats.

I appreciate the wealth of information on the forums and the contributions of your members!

Wish me luck on my quest...

Gary

Hey Elinor.... silly question... I have seen "vert" a number of times in the forum... what is the meaning of vert?

And any tips as I begin my quest for an XK8?

Welcome to the forums Gary,

It's short for Convertible.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums and good luck in the search for your XK8.

Graham

Thank you Graham... I have owned a number of convertibles and never heard that term used... must not be a Canadian translation... lol. As French is one our languages here vert equals green... I was thinking it might be connected to British racing green... occasionally I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer!
