Default G'day from down-under

Hi Guys

I am based here in Australia, originally from England and moved here in 1994. I have just purchased a MY2001 XK8 which was imported from UK by the previous owner.

My aim is to bring this XK8 back to it's former glory, mechanically it's sound, bodywork and paint are OK but the interior needs attention and also the cam chain tensioners need doing, I already have the parts and will do that job very soon.

Previously I had an XJ40 whcih I sold in order to purchase a Lotus Esprit Turbo which is now in good order. I do all my own spannering and have a well equipped workshop at home. This car needs some TLC so hopefully you fells will be able to help me along the way as I go through the list if issues that need fixing.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum spuddyo,

Bet you don't miss the salty roads, rain and rust in your new homeland!

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You may also like to visit the Australia/New Zealand Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-mexico-south-america-41/ to find other members in your part of the World.

Enjoy the forum.

Welcome

We "downunders" are growing slowly.

What bit of the island is home, its a big island?.

No salt, just cyclones and bushfires.

Enjoy
