Generic salutations.
Hey everyone, I'm a 23 year-old from Metro Detroit. I bought my first Jag, a 2002 X-Type, in August, and everything has been smooth so far. I have 102k miles on it, how long does this model typically last? I take excellent care of her and I don't drive like an idiot (not flooring it at every green light, braking slowly). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum TheApostle,
The X-Type usually falls apart at 103K Miles ................... Gotcha!
Seriously, concerns about high mileage only come up occasionally and then generally related to neglect by a PO. I'll bet from the way you take care of it, you were very particular when buying the X-Type and checked it's history carefully.
Follow Steve's link to the X-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start looking for information on regular issues.
Enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the forums! I'm also 23 but couldn't even dream of having the money to buy one that new xD but I love my crusty '76 XJ12 and hope to restore it to its former glory, slowly over time when I can afford it lol hopefully eventually it will be as good as brand new! I believe those cars are pretty reliable we've worked on a few at our shop (nothing major tho) I think as long as you take care of it and maintain it/change the fluids regularly it should be fine for a good while still as long as you don't over heat it or let the oil run low or get nasty.
