Help! Having and issue with the hood (bonnet) release on my '98_XK8, it will not release the latch on the drivers side, does anyone know if there is a panel under the dash or.... to gain access? Or How do you bypass the latch?

Welcome to the forum,

I have no clue, but I will copy your post to the XK section where someone surely will.

Oh I see you've done that already, maybe you'll find time for an intro.

Merry Christmas.

Welcome to the forum.

Not sure on the XK but we have threads for the XJ involving removing wheel arch scuttle protectors and poking with a screwdriver.

Hope you can get it resolved.

Thanks for the input.. Yea, I was looking at the possibilities and concluded also that the inner wheelwell shroud may have to come out but the question is, is the latch mechanism accessable from under the wheelwell?

What a strange event to have one latch work fine and the send one not!

Merry Christmas!
