Good evening ...Old Guy...Old Car
It seemed like I would never own a Jag again, The last one was an XK140 a long, long time ago. The Missus thinks I'm crazy but I finally got a lift to San Diego and picked up a 2005 XK8 Black convertible. Sure it has a few problems like the CD changer is on E-01, the glove box catch is off, the sun visor mirror drops off and the cigarette lighter doesn't work (not needed for smoking but the phone needs charging) etc. Above all, I'm happy with the car. It ran well on the way back and the neighbors think it is, to use the American vernacular, very cool. Now I can really belong to the Jaguar Forum!

Your story Englishman sounds a lot like mine. I sold my XK-150 in 1977 and despaired of ever being allowed to have another. I finally got my XK8 coupe just a few months ago. Like yours, mine has a to-do list. Oddly enough, my wife was supportive of the folly.
