Greetings, my name is Bryan. I own a 2003 XJ8 in British Racing Green with 148,000 miles. Located out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. I seek to learn more about these sweet vehicles, while also connecting with the community.
Hello, Bryan,
One of the first things you'll learn if you don't know it already, IF the time mechanism hasn't been updated (tensioners changed etc) it's about time you did that.
Hey, Elinor,
Thank you for the message. The tensioners, water pump, and thermostat were all replaced around 100,000 miles. Currently, I am replacing the valve cover gaskets, grommets, and ignition components. The car has a solid oil leak in both banks, but at least I know it has oil. The greatest concern at the moment is the transmission.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
