Default Greetings from New England!

New member, long-time lurker...

I have a 2004 X-Type 3.0 with automatic transmission and 58k.

The car belonged to my uncle and when he passed away I bought it from his estate. He loved the car and I've had decent luck with it, but that can change anytime. Being that it's got over 50k and almost 9 years old, I need to do some maintenance that's overdue.

Hoping that I can get some occasional help here and report any help I can give as well.

Welcome to the forum Duncan2004,

50K is low miles on a modern Jaguar and you should get many more with careful maintenance.

As a long time lurker you probably already know your way around here but if not, follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to find info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US North East Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/north-east-us-me-nh-vt-ma-ri-ct-nj-ny-pa-35/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.
