Greetings from Ohio
Hello Jaguar Enthusiasts,
My name is Tony K., and I am a four-time Jaguar owner. Previously owned two Series III XJ6s (1984, Grosvenor Brown and 1987, Westminster Blue), and have since come to really enjoy the X300 series XJ6s. I've had a Topaz 1996 XJ6 for about a year, and just recently purchased a Sapphire Metallic 1995 Vanden Plas.
My wife and I use these cars as daily drivers. I am more of a mid-engined sports car guy (my first automotive passion are Lotus Esprits, and we have a Lancia Scorpion, too). A Porsche 944S2 also shares daily driving duty with the XJ6s. So as I said, I'm more of a sports car guy, but when it occurred to me that it might be beneficial to own a car that can carry four in comfort, my opinion quickly formed that a Jaguar was the best way to do it. They offer an experience and "sense of occasion" that no other sedan does. For their time/era, any generation XJ is a solid, well-built car with good safety ratings. And the straight sixes are fantastic engines. I'm quite happy with these XJs!
Anyway, I'm in Cleveland, Ohio, and always enjoy meeting other car enthusiasts.
And to those who celebrate it, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Cheers,
Tony K.
