Greetings from S France and a Newbie
Much to my wife's disdain and total surprise, I have recently acquired my sixth car, a 2000 "S" type 3 litre auto. That does not include the motorhome, the caravan 2 motorbikes and two scooters. Luckily, after almost 50 years of marriage the fun police (wife) is now well accustomed to my weakness for nice but not too expensive vehicles.
It's some years since ownership of my last Jaguar, an XJS 5.3 and, after acquiring my latest cat I just cannot understand why I ever sold the XJS.
Luckily, I live in SW France with plenty of garage/barns accommodation so am somewhat spoilt when it comes to storage (in fact, there's plenty of room for more but, please don't tell the missus).
I couldn't resist my latest purchase as it has just one former owner, with full Jaguar service history and, even the original invoice for £35,000 with it's extras.I am absolutely thrilled with her.
She is currently stabled with my 1999 Mercedes 500CL coupe, a 1998 Saab 9-3 cabriolet, a 1966 Mercedes 250SL (Pagoda) so is in good company. My everyday car, a 2008 Vectra now looks very very boring along with a 1998 Isuzu Trooper 3.2 petrol guzzler which is only ever used to tow a 3 ton trailer when collecting sand, ballast etc for our house renovation.
I do have one favour to ask, I am looking for a Navigation CD for France if anyone can point me in the right direction. That is a CD not a DVD.
Bonne route . . . . Jake
