Brand new here. Joined this Forum to find information and discussions on Jaguars since my wife and I began paperwork on a 2003 XJ8 tonight. Fantastic looking & sounding car. 48,000 miles on it. We reside in Granite City, IL. The nearest major city is St. Louis, Mo.

This is our first Jaguar. Our other vehicles at the moment are my 2003 Ford Lightning, my 2001 Chrysler Intrepid, and my wife currently drive a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport Minivan and it's getting traded in for the XJ8...........quite a step up for her.

Welcome to the forum 007. Nice car to upgrade to from a mini-van. Do I detect a military background...(salutations)? I imagine you'll get wheel time when something needs troubleshooted. Enjoy your ride. There's a wealth of information here.

No, I'm afraid I've never had the honor of serving in the armed forces, in my youth I chose another path. I have nothing but respect for those who do though.

Oddly enough, I didn't get to drive the car home from the dealer tonight. Rides like a dream though (from the passenger seat)!!
