Hello All,
Nice to be here amoung fellow Jaguar fanatics! Actually, I found this site quite by accident while searching for the location of the bonnet sensor on my 2004 XJ8. Thanks to the guys who've experienced the "open bonnet" message I was able to quickly locate, disassemble, repair and reinstall the switch with absolutely no problem. So, I guess I owe you all lunch!
I've owned four Jags in the last twenty years starting with my first 1988 XJ6 and recently selling an XK8 for my current 04 XJ8. I enjoy the hell out of owning and driving Jaguars; makes me feel like I'm in the UK whenever I'm out and about. I'm looking forward to more interactions on the forum site especially when it comes to repair or adjustments we can do ourselves.
Thanks again! Cheers from Indiantown, Florida,
Nick

Welcome, and I think that the 1988 XJ6 nearly ruined the Jag reputation. I learned alot and made ALOT of money repairing the 88/89 XJ sedans (every day was an adventure!!). Luckily the improvements were soon and subsequent years were more reliable. They are now complicated machines (like all other cars) so you can do some research here and try to save some money.
