Default Greetings from Tennessee

Hello everyone. I just thought I'd introduce myself. I've been a member of the jag-lovers site for years, but only recently stumbled across this forum. I'm very happy to see dedicated X308 and X350 sections on JaguarForums. I prefer to work on my own cars, and a forum such as this is a tremendous resource for the DIY who wants to Do It Right. Thanks for all the work it takes to put a site like this together!

By way of background: I'm on my third and fourth Jaguars, owning two XJ40s ('88 XJ6, '91 Sovereign) before the current '01 Vanden Plas and '05 XJ8L. When I bought my first Jaguar, the '88 XJ6 in about 1999, the fellow told me that I'd never want to own anything else. He was right! As much trouble as that car gave me, it somehow made up for it in style and comfort. The '91 was much more reliable, but after about 270,000 miles it was time to upgrade, thus the '01 (which has been fantastic). We picked up the '05 just recently, and once again I'm convinced that I'll always have a Jag or two in the driveway. I will never buy one new, but that won't stop me from planning ahead a decade or so! I still get compliments on the '01, but am saving for an '06 or newer Vanden Plas, or maybe an XKS...

See you around!

Welcome to the forum Aaron,

So no need to convince you about the pleasures (and pains) of Jaguar ownership!

You'll find a very active membership here with the majority also being DIY. Plenty of info to help resolve any issues you may have and I'm sure you'll be able to contribute much of your own knowledge from the years of Jaguar ownership.

Graham
