Default Headliner / Power Windows

2004 Jaguar XJ8. Recently had to get a new headliner installed due to seperation over the rear seat. Got new fabric and used the original shell.

Looked great, however a new problem. After the re-install of the headliner shell, if headlights are ON, windows and sunroof do not operate. Also the clock light and the dash console with the radio display and other buttons do not light with lights on or off. Also, the light under the rear view mirror comes On very dimly when headlights are on, and if that dim light is on, the windows do not work. If yu turn headlights off the windows and sun roof work. The console does not light under any condition that I have observed.

The shop that did the headliner removed the headliner again to check all electrical connections but nothing was found. There was one connection in the small box at the rear view mirror that appeared loose, but after reseating the connector it seemed to work one time and then retruned to the trouble state as described above.

Has anyone seen or heard this problem and know where to look.

I took the car to Matheny jaguar this morning and they seemed to think I was crazy, but was able to demo the problem to them.

I thought they could talk or email the factory for advice but they seemed to think that was also a crazy suggestion. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
