Default Hello

Hello Everyone -
I am new to this forum and I belong to the MB forum and the Volvo forum - I just sold and got the MB out of the driveway yesterday - a 93 400 SEL with way too much stuff wrong with it to want to fix, and I have a Volvo V70 XC - it's not doing it for me - I have an associate that swears by the Jag, so I thought I'd give it the old college try. I see a 96 Vanden Plas for a good price on craigslist, and want to go further, but want some good advice - I am a DIY kind of guy and don't want to adopt a problem child - that being said, please don't hesitate to tell me like it is and let me have it.
I'm looking forward to all the future discussions. Thanks!
I can go on and on and on ....
But, I won't.

Welcome to the forum Silver Fox,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

With any Jaguar, a full service history is critical and you should question gaps. When assessing the vehicle, remember that trim is expensive so repair/replacement of broken or missing items should be factored into the negotiation.

One of the most frequent questions we get from new owners is how to replace missing keys and fobs. Each vehicle should have 2 Fobs, 2 Black headed master keys and 1 Green headed valet key. The cost of replacing these always comes as a shock!

Follow Norri's link to the X300 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
