Default Hello

Hello, I have been reading the forums for a few month for info on what to look for in buying a xk8. Today I bought one, it is a 98 xk8, it had all of the major issues addressed, convertible hoses, and timing chain tensioners. I have a couple of issues, one is that it goes into failsafe mode, but seems to drive ok, will be taking it to jaguar dealer next week to run diagnostics, also the rearview mirror problem, will be looking into that also, and last the recline on the passenger seat doesn't work. Thanks for all the info I needed to look for a xk8, I'm sure I will be on here reading more info to help solve my problems.

Welcome to the forum sweez,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums and to hear the information helped you in the search for your XK8.

You've obviously already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Mid West Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-mid-west-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
