Default Hello!

Nice to meet everyone, thanks for having me and to everyone on here for the invaluable information I've taken advantage of in recent years!

Currently on my 3rd 90's XJ - garage/family/friends don't understand why I keep getting them, but it's hard to look at anything else once you've had one, right?

1. '96 XJ6 written off by someone hitting it - foolishly took the insurance money and regretted it ever since, as in hindsight it was easily repairable. Recently heard from the person who bought it from scrap and I'm glad to say got it back to its former glory.
2. '99 XJ8 4.0 - engine died at 142k, had a good innnings but a lot of rust meant it wasn't worth keeping going.
3. Just picked up a '95 XJ6 4.0 with 140k - probably foolish but it was a bargain, and engine and gearbox seem great. Hoping to get some help here to fix a few things hence registering finally!

Welcome to the forum moohead,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome, finally.

Well done.

I know that feeling, first car, a Jag, never had anything else.

Not many of my "mob" understand either.
