Default Hello!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum.

I split my time between Los Angeles and the East Coast.

I have a '61 E Type OTS and a '63 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider.

Yes I like DOHC sixes with triple carbs.

I have rebuilt both cars mechanically and also the bodies.

I am considering buying a MK2 with a chevy 350 and replacing it with a fuel injected LS1 as a cheap/fun project. My interest is in fuel injection as this is an area I lack knowledge in. I have always liked the MK2's look.

John

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
That sounds like an interesting project, it may not be too cheap though.

You should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hello and welcome,

Driving either of those along the West Coast is the stuff of dreams for most of us!

Welcome! I've just bought a 3.4 MKII to restore - I say go for it, but use the XK engine, no chevy units please!

Thanks Jim,

Most appreciated.

I see by your tag line you are Scottish. I was born in Edinburgh, grew up in Australia, and now live in the US.

My interest in a modified MK 2 appears to have stirred up some interest...

I want to point out that I am looking at cars that have already lost their original motors and transmissions, and so are already "orphans", some loved, most not so much. All still have that great Jag "look" tho.

John
